Days after Yamaha Motor pledges to join Formula E, the all-electric car racing tournament has launched the upgraded version of Gen3. The new Formula E Gen3 Evo Electric car has been equipped with multiple upgrades in bodywork, and tyres and uses the engine efficiently.

The new car will be used from next season despite making its track debut this week. The new Gen3 Eco was driven by ex-Formula 1 driver David Coulthard. Next year, Formula E's 11th racing season is happening, and it's going to be huge. The newly introduced Gen3 Evo is even faster than the cars used in Formula 1 right now.

According to the brand New Gen3 Evo can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 1.82 seconds, which is 30% faster than today’s Formula 1 cars and 36 per cent faster than current Gen3 cars. It was revealed at the Monaco 2024 race and will be used in Season 11 of the Formula E World Championship i.e. starting next year.

What are the other specifications?

Formula E Gen3 Evo electric car is not only fast, but it also has a bunch of cool upgrades. The car has a sleeker design that helps it go even faster. It's like a supercharged version of the previous model. Plus, it's the first Formula E car to have all-wheel drive, which means it can handle corners and curves even better. This makes the races even more thrilling and intense.

Talking about curves how can we forget the upgraded tyres? They're super important for racing! Gen3 Evo uses the new Hankook iON race tyres. They are really helpful in griping, which helps cars stay on the track.

Additionally, they're eco-friendly because they're made from 35% recycled stuff. These tyres are great for both racing and being kind to the environment. Also, the cars using them have a cool feature called regenerative braking. It lets them make energy while pretty awesome racing.
