Faf Du Plessis the Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper led the charge as his 22-ball 64 laid the foundation for an electric start. Needing to win the game against a stuttering Gujarat Titans to keep their Indian Premier League hopes alive, RCB nearly made a meal of the chase.

Joshua Little tried to breathe hope into the Titans with a four wicket haul. Dinesh Karthik though showed all his experience as he led his side to an easy win with 39 balls to spare and 4 wickets in hand. The win now has given RCB their third successive win and also their 4th win of the campaign to take them off the bottom of the table.

5. Karn Sharma – 1/42 from 3 overs

The veteran leggie struggled with the ball as he was smashed all over the park by Rahul Tewatia in particular. The 36-year-old also dropped a difficult chance when David Miller offered a very critical catch. RCB will hope that Karn Sharma could find his form with a critical next few games lined up.

4. Glenn Maxwell – 4 runs from three balls

The Australian star has struggled to get going during this season of the IPL. The 35-year-old who had made his return to the team in the previous team against the same opponents could score only 4 runs. Joshua Little got his wicket when Maxwell offered a simple catch David Miller to put RCB under more pressure.

3. Wriddhiman Saha – 1 run from 7 balls

Much of the batting woes for Titans this year has been due to their bad opening partnerships. Wriddhiman Saha continued to have a bad season with the bat as he got slowly off the blocks and scored a single run from 7 balls before falling to Mohammed Siraj.

2. Mohit Sharma – 0/32 from 2 overs

252

Veteran pacer Mohit Sharma has totally lost his bowling form as he was carted for 32 runs from his 2 overs. The 35-year-old was given a sound thrashing by the RCB openers as they looked to put the game to rest in the first few overs of the chase.

1. Shubman Gill – 2 runs from 7 balls

253

Unlike his form in the IPL 2023 season, Shubman Gill has struggled to come up with a substantial score this year. The pressure of captaincy seems to have been weighing heavy on him as he could score only 2 runs before he offered a simple catch to Vijaykumar Vyshak to give Siraj his 2nd wicket of the day.
