Sunrisers Hyderabad ran out winners by a single run as they kept their hopes alive for qualification to the playoff stages. Bhuvneshwar Kumar held his nerves to remove Rovman Powell in the final ball of the 50th Indian Premier League (IPL) match to eke out a one-run win for the hosts.

Chasing 202 to win, Kumar got the wickets of Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson in a space of three balls. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag staged a comeback but it wasn’t enough as the SRH bowlers tightened the screws to win the game.

Here are the top 5 standout performances from the match:

5. Heinrich Klassen – 42 not out from 19 balls

After the fall of Travis Head, the onus to keep the score ticking was on Heinrich Klaasen. The South African star came out all guns blazing and hit three fours and three sixes in his knock of 42 not out from 19 balls to help SRH go past the 200-run mark.

4. Travis Head – 58 runs from 44 balls

Australian opener Travis Head didn’t have a great start to the game as he was scoring very slowly. Once Hyderabad found themselves out of the woods, Travis Head then began to attack the bowlers and got to yet another half-century for the season to continue his good form with the bat.

3. Nitish Reddy – 76 not out from 42 balls

Young Sunrisers Hyderabad star Nitish Reddy chose the right occasion to play one of his best IPL innings. The right-handed batter scored his 2nd IPL fifty as he was not out on 76 runs with the help of three fours and 8 huge sixes to marshal his team to the huge score.

2. Yashasvi Jaiswal – 67 runs from 40 balls

On a day when most of the World Cup players failed to do well, it was only Yashasvi Jaiswal who stood up with the bat. The young opener scored a blistering 67 runs from a mere 40 balls to keep his team in the hunt especially after two early wickets in the first over of the chase.

1. Riyan Parag – 77 runs from 49 balls

Rajasthan Royals have been indebted to Riyan Parag on many occasions during this season of IPL. The young batting star has seen his stocks rise as he scored 77 runs to become the top scorer of the game. His knock was ended when Pat Cummins had him caught by Marco Jansen to change the course of the game.
