The International Cricket Council (ICC) released the official anthem of the T20 World Cup 2024 on May 2. Sung by Sean Paul and Kes, the song is named 'Out of This World' which features some of West Indies' cricket greats, including Chris Gayle, Stafanie Taylor and also Shivnarine Chanderpaul.

The tournament will start on June 2 among 20 teams who play around 55 matches. The finals will be held on June 29 in West Indies. This time, the T20 World Cup is scheduled to be held in the West Indies and the USA. ICC took to Twitter to post the anthem which went viral within minutes.

It was a conscious effort from the ICC to schedule the World Cup in the USA which will globalize the sport in the American countries. Moreover, the participation of 20 teams in the Marquee event is also a great sign of improvement for the sport. Hence, it will be interesting to see all the teams play in the tournament with full enthusiasm and zest.

New York is almost ready to host the T20 World Cup 2024 from June 2 as the drop-in pitches are prepared and transferred from Florida to New York. There are 10 pitches which have travelled across the country and come to the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York, out of which four pitches will be used in the middle of the ground and the other six will be laid at the neighbouring practice facilities.

Everything is going to plan, they (the pitches) are in real good condition and all of our benchmarks and measures that we take along the way are exceeding expectations," said Damian Hough, the head curator.
