Manchester United have been in poor form in the current season, as they have failed to perform cosistently in the English Premier League. The Red Devils sits 8th in the league table with same points with Chelsea and one game in hand, the club will be next up against Crystal Palace on Monday. In the reverse fixture the Eagles won the game by 1-0 at Old Trafford back in September 2023. Irrespective of the performance this season the management have started building the process for the upcoming 2024/25 season.

Jadon Sancho who have been performing amazingly for Borussia Dortmund is on loan from the English club. The 24-year-old winger has found back his form since his return to Germany, and has been a crucial member for the side for their qualification in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. The winger showed brilliant display against Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of the UCL. The Yellow and Black side's sporting director Sebastian Kehl is keen on keeping the footballer permanently.

However Man U are hoping to bring back Sancho from Germany, for the upcoming season. As the management believes he will be a key part of the side for the new squad building. The Englishman had problems with Erik ten Hag for some disciplinary issues, as the Dutch manager left him out of the squad and the team photo as well.

Ten Hag throws light on Sancho's situation

Ten Hag's job is under huge scrutiny as the management is yet to decide on the furture of the coach due to the dismal performance of the squad in the ongoing season. The 54-year-old coach has revealed that the management had talks with the winger and they are also visiting the games and watching the English footballer closely. Meetings have taken place with the former Director of Football John Murtough and Director of Player Negotiations Matt Hargreaves.

United hierarchy has also decided to pay cut 25% of salary of the manager if the side fails to qualify for the UCL in the next season and as per their standings the qualification looks impossible for the side. On Monday the club will be missing Harry Maguire as he will be out for three weeks after picking up a muscle injury in training.
