The clay season is still going on this season and the next stop for the players is in Rome after the completion of the Madrid Open which will be another ATP Masters 1000 tournament. There is no doubt that there will be several big players that will be featuring in this tournament and get a win in this ongoing ATP tour. The fans will also look forward to this iconic tournament and see who will emerge victorious.

One player the fans were excited to see return in Madrid was Carlos Alcaraz. The 20-year-old might not have been able to defend his Madrid crown as he lost the quarter-finals to Andrey Rublev, but it was still great to see him make a comeback from an injury to his right arm. Being one of the top players on Clay right now it was still great to see him give some good performances in one of the most iconic clay tournaments.

Carlos withdraws from Rome

There were a lot of expectations for Alcaraz after he announced his return to the ATP tournament but there is another bad news that the fans are dealing with regarding the superstar once again. It turns out the 2-time grand slam winner's injury has caused him to get muscle oedema in the Pronator Teres. This is enough to keep him out of the game again from the tournament in Rome where we were looking forward to seeing him play and perform again.

This withdrawal will break some hearts again as this was also one of the tournaments the Spaniard has not won so far. We will still want Alacaraz to feature in the upcoming French Open which will be the biggest tournament in the Clay season which everyone will want to see. However, it will still be sad to see the Spanish superstar miss out on another tournament this season which could have been another opportunity to win his first clay title.
