Stump-mic comments are something which have caught a lot of attention in the last couple of years. Virat Kohli using cuss words during South Africa tour, the banter between Tim Paine and Rishabh Pant and many more occasions have hogged the limelight thanks to stump mics. This time around, Rohit Sharma has been heard uttering expletives at his teammate Rishabh Pant for not listening to him and missing a run-out chance.
It was the 33rd over of the West Indies’ innings when the visitors were still in the game with Jason Holder and Shai Hope fighting it out. Kuldeep Yadav delivered the third ball of the over to the former and the lanky batsman propped forward to turn it to mid-wicket. Holder and Hope sensed a single and they went for it which was actually a wrong decision.
Rishabh Pant, meanwhile, reached the ball and there was an easy run-out chance with Hope a long way away from the crease. Rohit Sharma who was in the slips also quickly yelled at Pant to give him the throw at the striker’s end. But for some reason, Pant turned around and threw the ball at the bowler’s end which was too high for Kuldeep Yadav to collect.
A run-out chance was missed as Jason Holder was always going to be safe and it only made sense for Pant to throw at Rohit Sharma who was also calling his name to do the same. And after missing the opportunity, Rohit got angry in the heat of the moment and used a cuss word at his teammate. “Are idhar de na..wo..bhe*ch** aadhe raste pe hai yaar,” Rohit was heard as saying and the video of it is going viral on social media now.

Kuldeep picks up a hat-trick in the same over
However, the miss didn’t cost India much. Kuldeep Yadav got the better of Hope off the very next delivery and went on pick a hat-trick in the same over. He got Holder stumped and then bluffed Alzarri Joseph to become the first Indian cricketer ever to pick two international hat-tricks. It was a decisive blow as the visitors were bundled out for just 280 runs and India won the match by 107 runs to level the series.
