The Group B match of the ACC Under-19s Asia Cup 2019 will be played between Bangladesh Under-19s and Nepal Under-19s at the P Sara Oval in Colombo.
The match starts at 9:30 AM local time (4:00 AM GMT) (9:30 AM IST).
Bangladesh Under-19s began their campaign in the Youth Asia Cup with a comfortable win over United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the first match. In a 45 overs per side match on Friday, a collective effort from the Bangladesh bowlers saw UAE bundled out for just 127 having played 28 overs only. With the bat, Bangladesh were little rusty as they lost four wickets and needed 21.3 overs for reaching the target.
In their second game of the tournament, Bangladesh will be up against Nepal Under-19s. The team led by Rohit Paudel went down against the hosts Sri Lanka in a 42-over match. His partnership with Rit Gautam pushed Nepal to 115/2 in 29 overs. However, in the next 13 overs, they further added 44/7. Their bowlers picked up five wickets but couldn’t stop the Lankans to reach the target.
Sunday looks quite dry at the P Sara Oval in Colombo. Unless overnight rain, the match is expected to start on time and finish without any interruptions. There is a possibility of rain after 5:30 PM local time by which this match gets completed.
The Youth ODIs that P Sara Oval hosted at the start of the year with all three witnessing 250+ totals. However, the game between Pakistan and Afghanistan on the first day of the tournament was a low scoring affair. This is mostly due to the rains and the moisture content in the pitch.
Average first innings score: 274 (Youth ODI matches in 2019)
Record of chasing teams: Won – 1, Lost – 2
