The Group B match of the Under-19s Asia Cup 2019 will be played between Sri Lanka Under-19s and United Arab Emirates (UAE) Under-19s at the FTZ Sports Complex in Katunayake.
The match starts at 9:30 AM local time (4:00 AM GMT) (9:30 AM IST).
The home team, Sri Lanka Under-19s started the Youth Asia Cup with a comfortable win against Nepal Under-19s. Dilshan Madushanka and Navod Paranavithana took three wickets apiece as they limited Nepal to 159/9 in the restricted 42 overs. The Nepal team were cruising at 115/2 after 29 overs. Kamil Mishara led the chase with a 55-run knock as the Lankans got the target losing five wickets and 8.2 overs to spare.
They will be up against the UAE Under-19s on Sunday in their 2nd match. The United Arab Emirates team suffered a 6-wicket loss against Bangladesh in their first match. Osama Hassan (57) and Alishan Sharafu (34) rescued the UAE team from 27/5 but another collapse saw them lasting only 28 overs for 127. Bangladesh lost four wickets but completed the chase with 23.3 overs to spare.
Katunayake is expected to be clear and sunny during most part of the Sunday. There is a chance of delayed start due to overnight rain but it won’t be a longer delay. Showers are expected around 4 PM local time.
The venue is Katunayake is expected to record big run-chases. The game between Bangladesh and UAE was played at this venue only. UAE made 127/10 in 28 overs while Bangladesh chased it in 22 overs only. The short boundaries here could play a key role later in the tournament.

While the UAE top-order failed to reach even double digits, Osama Hassan came up with 57 from 62 deliveries with help of nine boundaries.
