Afghanistan and Zimbabwe will clash in the two-match Test series starting Tuesday, 2nd March at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. The Afghanistan side will be led by Asghar Afghan while Sean Williams will be the captain of the Zimbabwe team. Both teams will be playing for the first time against each other in the longest format of the game. The teams will also take part in a 3-match T20I series after the completion of the Test series.
This will be the first time that Afghanistan will be playing a Test match in UAE. Zimbabwe too has not played any Test match in the Arab country. Afghanistan will miss the services of their star spinner Rashid Khan due to a finger injury he sustained in the Pakistan Super League.
