After clinching the Test and ODI series without a defeat, Bangladesh looks towards sealing the 2-match T20I series against Zimbabwe starting on Monday. Bangladesh, led by Mahmudullah, suffered T20I series losses in India and Pakistan over the last couple of months. Zimbabwe, on the other hand, will feature in the T20Is for the first time since October last year. They were part of a T20I Tri-series against Singapore and Nepal back then which they won by the virtue of topping the table.

5995 – Mushfiqur Rahim is five runs short of becoming only the 2nd player with 6000 runs on Bangladesh soil in International cricket after Tamim Iqbal (6515).
In fact, Mushfiqur (3907 in Mirpur) is also 93 runs away from becoming the 3rd player to score 4000 International runs at a venue. Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal have scored 4133 and 4064 runs respectively in Mirpur.
