Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard share a great relationship courtesy of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Pollard has been representing the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the cash-rich tournament under the leadership of Rohit. In fact, after making debut for Rohit’s team back in 2010, the Trinidadian hasn’t changed franchises. The duo is currently playing the ODI series between India and the West Indies.
Star Sports, the official broadcaster of the series, also released a few advertisements, involving Rohit and Pollard, in order to promote the series. The opening match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai is currently underway and their camaraderie was again on show. In the seventh over of the Indian innings, the West Indies skipper went up to Rohit and decided to have a friendly chat.
Both were seen in a rather jolly mode, displaying the respect they have for each other. Rohit listened carefully to what his IPL teammate tried to communicate. In the end, Pollard showed some moves and went away. The 32-year-old Rohit was smiling and seemed to have enjoyed the conversation. He turned to KL Rahul, his batting partner, and said ‘ba***od hain ba***od’, referring Pollard.

Rohit Sharma caught by Pollard
Rohit didn’t have the greatest of days with the bat. He looked in ominous touch in the Mumbai T20I, but couldn’t replicate the same in the 50-overs format. Sharma started in a cautious manner as Rahul and Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper, fell cheaply. Sheldon Cottrell delivered both the blows. Rohit along with Shreyas Iyer injected momentum into the innings after the jittery start.
The duo put on 55 for the third wicket and bailed India out of jail. However, just when the stand was about to dominate, Rohit fell prey to fast bowler Alzarri Joseph, who also played for MI last season. Rohit went for the pull, but couldn’t get proper timing by any means.
The batter ended up splicing the leather and Pollard took a rather simple catch at mid-wicket. Rohit managed 36 off 56 with the help of six fours. Rohit was a tad dejected after getting out following a promising start to his knock.
