Melbourne Stars got their second successive win of the BBL 2020-21 as they got the better of Sydney Thunder by 22 runs on Saturday. Marcus Stoinis (61 off 37) and Glenn Maxwell (39 off 29) put the Stars at 92/1 at halfway stage but lost seven wickets for 77 runs in the second half to finish on 169/8. Sydney Thunder made a decent start in the chase making 90/1 in 12 overs but a middle-order collapse saw them finish with only 147/9.
