Perth Scorchers conquered the MCG as they got the better of Melbourne Stars by 11 runs during the Saturday’s afternoon game. Jason Roy’s 32-ball 54 at the top and Colin Munro’s unbeaten 46 from 30 balls played a key role in getting the Scorchers to 182/4 after losing the toss. In reply, the Stars suffered early setbacks as they lost the likes of Stoinis and Maxwell by 8th over. However, Nick Larkin alone kept the Stars alive in the chase with 44-ball 70 but the hosts ended up 12 runs short of the target.
