MI and RCB to face-off in the season opener

The BCCI announced the schedule of IPL 2021 earlier this month. Defending champions Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore are set to face each other in the opening game in Chennai. The tournament will be played only at six venues this time around due to COVID-19 cases in the country. To avoid home advantage to any of the teams, all the matches will be played at neutral venues which is a first in the history of the tournament.
