Indian captain Virat Kohli recently led India to a 4-0 T20I series lead against New Zealand before Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul completed the whitewash by winning the Bay Oval match as well, as Kohli was rested for this encounter. It made India the first team ever to win a T20I series 5-0 and it was also their maiden win in the format over the Black Caps.
The Indian captain will now lead the Men in Blue in the three-match ODI series which starts from February 5 in Hamilton. Before that, the ESPNCricinfo decided to ask their fans what would they tell the Indian captain if they were on a phone call with perhaps the best modern-day batsman. They also shared a photo of Kohli holding a phone to his ear after India’s Mount Maunganui victory.
Many know, Kohli is known for his aggressive behaviour in which he often expresses himself verbally using some cuss words. These censored words are usually in Hindi and given that he hails from Delhi, such language is the norm. Kohli was a firebrand in his initial years of international cricket and often used sign language to show his attitude as well.
However, the funniest reply to the question on Twitter came from England all-rounder Ben Stokes, who posted, ““Ben Stokes” if you know you know.”

Well, many know that Kohli loves to utter an unmentionable word quite often and if lip-read, the word rhymes closely with the England star’s name, Ben Stokes and he has been often trolled whenever the Indian captain uses that word in matches and Stokes even said that he will block all those accounts who tag him in a video of Kohli saying that cuss word.
Meanwhile, the Indian captain will now focus on the ODI series against the Blackcaps. New Zealand had lost 4-1 the last time India played them in 50-over encounters in 2019 and the Men in Blue will be hoping to repeat that feat and possibly continue to whitewash them in one-dayers as well. Unfortunately, they might have to do it without their majestic opener Rohit Sharma, who had to retire hurt from the Bay Oval match after hurting his right calf.
The first match will be played in Hamilton on February 5.
