Defending champions Barbados Tridents brought an end to their 3-match losing streak as they thumped the Jamaica Tallawahs by 36 runs. Kyle Mayers smashed eight sixes and three fours on his way to a 59-ball 85 to help Tridents finish on 145/8. The spin twins Mujeeb Ur Rahman (4-0-14-3) and Sandeep Lamichhane (4-0-16-2) managed to contain Mayers but the left-hander was brutal against the rest. Tallawahs, in the absence of Andre Russell, fell apart during the chase and ended up with only 112/9.
