The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. A number of talks were regarding the third Test between Australia and India at the Sydney Cricket Ground. During the third day’s play, Mohammed Siraj faced heat from a few Australian supporters, who racially abused him. Things didn’t change even on the fourth day and the Indian speedster was again on the firing line.
After the incident took place, Siraj complained to the umpires, who, along with the match and security officials, investigated the matter. In the end, six spectators were asked to leave the ground with immediate effect.
Cricketers, including Virat Kohli, Irfan Pathan among others reacted on the matter. Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal posted a picture where he was holding his wife Dhanashree Verma in his arms.
