Ben Stokes and Ravindra Jadeja are two of the best all-rounders in international cricket currently. Apart from their abilities of batting, the duo has potential to win matches for their side with the ball as well. But what makes them a great all-rounder and a great package to have for any side is their fielding abilities. Both players have exceptional fielding skills and have taken catches that could amaze many. And no wonder the duo is liked by the former Australia cricketer Dean Jones as well.
He has been spending his quarantine time by interacting with the fans on social media. He conducted a special Q&A session on Wednesday urging all his fans to ask him any question that they would like to know under the #askProf. Dean Jones is affectionately known as Professor Deano for his remarkable thought process towards the game.
In the Q&A session on Twitter, Dean Jones was asked to name the best fielder in modern cricket. Without any doubts, the 59-year-old mentioned the names of Jadeja and Stokes.

Dean Jones recently was in Pakistan coaching Karachi Kings in the 2020 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Unfortunately, he couldn’t see his team to the finals as the tournament was cancelled midway just before the knockout stages, due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
Jadeja and Stokes’ ability to mesmerise the fans
Coming back to Jadeja and Stokes, both the players have exceptional fielding skills and have established themselves as top fielders at the international level. In the World Cup last year, Ben Stokes pulled off a brilliant one-handed catch standing at the deep mid-wicket during the opening match of the tournament against South Africa. This was credited to be one of the best catches of the century.
Ravindra Jadeja also plucked good catches during the mega event. But, the screamer he took during the recent Test series against New Zealand replicated Stokes’ heroics. Jaddu was also positioned at the deep mid-wicket region when he took the one-handed blinder in the second Test. Some of the fans also claimed it to be better than that of Stokes.
