The 3rd game of the Duleep Trophy 2019 will be played between India Green and India Red at the Alur Cricket Stadium in Bangalore.
The match starts at 9:30 AM local time (IST) (4:00 AM GMT)
After earning a first-innings lead against India Blue in the previous match, the India Red became the first team to qualify for the final of the Duleep Trophy 2019/20. Red earned three points in that match. The first game between India Blue and India Green was washed out after two sessions play. This meant India Blue are on the verge of missing out on the final having got one point each from two games.
India Green has a perfect chance to join India Red in the final. The rain might allow at least two completed innings, India Green has to get at least first-innings lead. If India Red picks up three points from this game as well, the team with better NRR among Green and Blue will qualify for the final. The likes of Karun Nair, Priyank Panchal, Siddhesh Lad and Rahul Chahar will be under the spotlight.
The conditions have got better in Bangalore compared to what it was until last week. The chances of rain has come down but a long delay is possible due to venue conditions even if it drizzles. The first day and 4th could be effected especially in the final session. The 2nd and 3rd days are expected to be dry.
Alur showed its true colours during the previous match. The venue is known for swing on the first day and spin in the 2nd half of the match. The rain kept the swing alive for nearly two days which is not seen usually. An outright result is possible if the rain doesn’t affect the match.
Ishan Kishan is part of India A squad for the unofficial ODI series against South Africa A.
Sandeep Warrier missed the previous match due to his marriage.
