Coronavirus has stopped all sporting events across the globe. The global pandemic that has been caused due to coronavirus has already affected more than 11 lakh people and has taken the lives of more than 50,000. All kind of cricket has been canceled across the globe and when will all the matches be resumed is something that cannot be predicted now.
But apart from canceling all the matches, the pandemic has caused the cancellation of weddings of a few cricketers as well. According to well-placed sources by ESPNCricinfo, as many as eight Australian cricketers have been forced to cancel their wedding ceremonies. Considering the schedule of sports in Australia, most of the cricketers prefer to get married in the month of April but this year that case has not been the same.

The eight cricketers who have been forced to cancel their weddings are leg spinner Adam Zampa, pacer Jackson Bird, D’arcy Short, Mitchell Swepson, Alister McDermott, Andrew Tye, Jess Jonassen, and Katelyn Fryett.
The situation in Australia has been quite bad recently. Several states have been advised to lock themselves down and public gathering has been restricted by the government. Everyone has been advised to stay at home and not go outside. The country is going through a complete lockdown. As a matter of fact, recently the Prime Minister of Australia also revealed that this pandemic might go on till 6 months.
Some of the other players whose marriage could be affected due to the global pandemic are leading Australian cricketers, Glenn Maxwell and Pat Cummins. Maxwell got engaged to his longtime Indian origin girlfriend Vini Raman in the last week of February. Cummins had also announced his engagement to his girlfriend recently. Now due to the global pandemic, both cricketers might have to postpone their weddings until next year.
Cummins recently confirmed that he will be playing in the IPL 2020, whenever it takes place. He has been signed up by Kolkata Knight Riders by a record sum of INR 15.5 crore.
