The Pakistan Super League 2020 came to an absurd end on Tuesday. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided to call off the two semi-finals and the final. The decision came after the spread of the coronavirus has reached a point where it was necessary to call off the tournament.
After the outbreak of the pandemic, PCB first decided to cut short the tournament by changing the schedule. What was going to be a four-team playoff-like structure was reduced to two semis and the final. Four teams, Multan Sultans, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi had qualified for the knockout stages. For now, the PSL 2020 has been cancelled and there is no information when will the knockout stage matches happen.
