Edmonton Royals continue their struggles in the Global T20 Canada 2019 as they lost all four matches they played thus far. Their batting struggled to get going in the absence of Faf du Plessis against the Vancouver Knights on Friday. Ben Cutting’s 41-ball 72 and Mohammad Nawaz’s 27-ball 40 towards the end got the Royals to a respectable total of 165/9. However, it was less to defend against the team led by Chris Gayle.
The Universe Boss got to 94 from only 44 balls as Knights chased down the target with 21 balls and six wickets in hand. Shadab Khan ended up conceding 66 runs in his four overs as Gayle himself scored 58 of them including a 32-run over. They will face Winnipeg Hawks on Saturday evening who have two wins and two losses from the four matches played.
The 13th match of the Global T20 Canada 2019 will be played between Winnipeg Hawks and Edmonton Royals at the CAA Centre in Brampton, Ontario.
The match starts at 04:30 PM local time (02:00 AM IST- August 4) (8:30 PM GMT).
This game will be live on Star Sports and live streaming is available on Hotstar.
The scores have fallen down over the last couple of matches in Brampton. Pitch curator did say prior to the tournament about how the tracks will slow down from being good for batting. Scores around 160 will be good enough on a used pitch.

Umar Akmal was interestingly left out in the previous game. Unless any injury scare, there is no way the Pakistan batsman could be left out. He might return in place of Kaleem Sana after the batting collapse in the previous game if he was dropped to make the bowling strong.
Winnipeg Hawks have a better all-round batting compared to Edmonton Royals and are expected to win.
