On the eve of the much-anticipated One Day International series against Australia in Sydney, Indian skipper Virat Kohli had sparked a controversy by expressing his bewilderment over the availability of Rohit Sharma for the purest format of the game. Kohli had reckoned that there is no clarity on Rohit’s fitness and it has been very confusing for the team.
Indian cricketer and Bengal Ranji Trophy skipper Manoj Tiwary had reacted to this statement by the Indian captain via Twitter. Tiwary took a sly dig at Virat Kohli for accusing Rohit Sharma and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for lack of communication.
Manoj had tweeted on November 26, Tuesday, “Lack of clarity has a different meaning when it comes out from the mouth of two different individuals. If u smeeeellllllll Wat d rock is cooking.”

In his statement, he had used the famous catchphrase by former WWE superstar and now Hollywood actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson during his wrestling days, ‘If u smeeeellllllll Wat d rock is cooking’.
An old tweet of Manoj Tiwary resurfaces on Twitter
This tweet by Manoj Tiwary is being linked with his frustration for not getting picked for the Indian team and Duleep Trophy despite consistent performances in 2019. Tiwary had vented out his frustration over not getting selected in the Duleep trophy via Twitter in 2019 and had strongly criticised the selectors.
“Since the Duleep trophy teams for the year 2018-2019 is out and I don’t see my name featuring in any of them. I want to ask the Selectors, what are the criteria for a player like me to get selected again in Duleep trophy teams or Indian team? If you guys can be kind enough to let me know?”
“Scored a double hundred against MP and a hundred against Punjab and both the teams had quality bowlers. I don’t want to put up my stats but I would request you all to just go and have a look please. Clarity is something which players looks for,” the 35-year-old had tweeted last year.
As far as availability of Rohit Sharma is concerned, a BCCI official clarified that everyone has been updated regarding Rohit and the Indian board is making plans for sending the opening batsman on time for the Border-Gavaskar trophy which is scheduled to begin from December 17 in Adelaide.
