Yuvraj Singh, the former Indian all-rounder was involved in a live Instagram session with Jasprit Bumrah on Sunday. He discussed several cricketing topics with the Indian pacer. In the meantime, he also revealed how he began thinking about his retirement in a hilarious fashion.

Moreover, he played for many IPL franchises Kings XI Punjab, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Pue Warriors and Delhi Capitals. However, he signed off from international cricket back in 2019. The fans were quite surprised after the former World Cup-winning all-rounder took such a step.
Yuvraj Singh reveals what made him start thinking about his retirement
During the candid chat with Jasprit Bumrah, the former player revealed that he had begun thinking about his retirement when Andrew Tye, the medium-pacer from Australia began calling him Yuvi pa while he was playing for King XI Punjab back in 2018.
“I realised I should retire after I played with you (Jasprit Bumrah) guys in the final stages of my career. But I actually thought of retirement first in 2018 when I was playing the IPL for Kings XI Punjab and Andrew Tye (Australia fast bowler) started calling me ‘Yuvi pa’,” Yuvraj told Bumrah.
Yuvraj also said in the live session that he was well aware of Bumrah’s calibre and abilities due to which he had predicted that he will soon become the number one bowler in the world long ago.”Three years back I had predicted that you would become the number one bowler in the world,” Yuvraj added.
Bumrah also opened up on what he went through while he was playing in Ranji Trophy. He said that the people always used to tell him that he will end up playing in the domestic tournament and he had no talent that can help him in getting to the national side. According to him, it was his determination, persistence and consistency that helped in achieving his dreams.
“Many people told me I won’t play for long, there was an expectation that the last person to play for the country would be me. They told me I would just play Ranji Trophy. But I kept on improving and I persisted with my action,” Bumrah told Yuvraj.
