Hardik Pandya is no less than a showman, who looks quite expressive on and off the field. He is certainly one of the best all-rounder across the country with some extraordinary batting skills. On numerous occasions in the past, he had hogged the spotlight due to his statements on a popular show ‘Koffee with Karan’. Now, he has opened up over the same in his latest interview.

The 26-year-old cricketer from Baroda is currently being sidelined from the national side due to the back injury that he sustained during the T20I series against South Africa. However, he has successfully recovered from the same after undergoing successful surgery. He is almost fit to get back in Team India but there are still some questions hovering over his fitness.

Hardik Pandya opens up on his Koffee with Karan controversy

Hardik Pandya in an interview said that he did not step out of his house after the controversy of “Koffee with Karan”. It took almost 10 days to overcome the setback. At a point, he realized that he had to come out and face the things that were going in the media.

Pandya shifted his focus to the game and forgot about what happened in the past. The Baroda all-rounder had no idea about what will going to happen next as he will get banned for the next six months or will get to play the next game. Many people took him in a wrong way but that is not the case, According to him, many people came to him in the past and said that they thought he was quite arrogant but their opinions changed after they started knowing him.

“I still remember I did not step out of my house. It took me a week or 10 days to just realise that this is not it. You have to step out and face the things than just being in your cocoon. I realised that this is kind of an exam that is coming at a difficult phase which you have to get through. I then shifted my focus to my game and forgot what happened.

Whether I was going to be suspended for six months or coming back in the next game. I had no idea, it was just rumoured. Lots of people take me in a very wrong way. Someone who does not know me, they think I am arrogant, I am not easy to talk to and cocky and all. I have got so many people who came to me and said, ‘we thought you were like this but you’re completely opposite’,” Hardik Pandya said as quoted by India Today.
