James Neesham is one of the wittiest characters on Twitter. The southpaw isn’t someone, who holds back his emotions and opines on various matters. The New Zealand all-rounder also interacts with his fans on social media platforms. Though he has faced criticism, the netizens have also enjoyed his tweets throughout. He has had a tough time ever since the 2019 World Cup in England and Wales.
In the final at the Lord’s, he couldn’t take the Kiwis over the line against England in the Super Over. Thereafter, he was disappointed to such an extent that he asked the youngsters to not take up sports as a profession. Then in September, he had a tough time in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), representing the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR), led by West Indies skipper Kieron Pollard.
A tough 2019 for James Neesham
On his 29th birthday, he bowled the most expensive spell of the CPL versus Carlos Brathwaite’s St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. It wasn’t the end of Neesham’s miseries in 2019. Back in November, he was a part of another Super Over encounter against England in a T20I at the Eden Park in Auckland. There he bowled the last over with the Brits needing around 15 runs to win the match.
Neesham failed to defend the runs and the game went into the Super Over. Even this time around, New Zealand floundered and lost the game and the series. He is currently plying his trade for Wellington in his country’s domestic T20 tournament. In the meantime, Neesham posted a funny tweet where he talked about blocking social media users on Twitter and Instagram.
He took to Twitter and wrote, “Love it when people DM me on Instagram asking me to unblock them on Twitter so I just block them there too.”

A user took it as a chance to ask whether the all-rounder has an account on tik-tok or not. The fan replied to Neesham and wrote, “Are u active on tiktok? asking for a blocked friend.” Quite expectantly, Neesham reverted wittily. Neesham replied and wrote, “No, I have self-respect.”
