The coronavirus pandemic has meant that sporting activities have come to a halt. The sportspersons, including the ones from the cricket fraternity, have been spending their time at their homes. To get their day doing, many of them are conducting sessions on social media. Even as many of them have gone to the Question and Answer session on Twitter, Kevin Pietersen has been doing live-chats.
The Englishman has been interviewing quite a few stars, the latest of them being Ahmed Shehzad, the Pakistan batsman. During their chat, Shehzad seemed to have made an absolute blunder. He recently was a part of the Quetta Gladiators in the 2020 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
But in place of PSL, the top-order batter mistakenly took the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) name. “I have tried my best in this IPL. I have been working really hard,” Shehzad was quoted as saying. Pietersen couldn’t catch hold of the error though.
More gems from the live session, any other cricketer & this would have been rude & distasteful but actor deserved it & much more pic.twitter.com/d7ItU8ynZz

Ahmed Shehzad’s horrendous outing in the PSL
The Gladiators, led by Sarfaraz Ahmed, had a tough time in the tournament. They started with a victory over the Islamabad United, but their campaign never took off. Shehzad, who was expected to be one of their gun batters, couldn’t make much of an impact either. In seven matches, the right-hander could manage a mere 61 runs with 12 being his highest score in the tournament.
When he first stepped into international cricket for Pakistan, Shehzad was deemed as the next big thing in their cricket. However, lack of form and unwanted controversies kept turning detrimental in his career. He kept going in and out of the team. In October 2019, he was picked for the home T20Is against Sri Lanka at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. To his dismay, he flattered to deceive.
Yet another time, he lost his place in the national side in the series against Australia. As far as the PSL is concerned, it had to be postponed in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. The semi-finals and finals are yet to be played, but the dates of the matches are yet to be decided after the COVID-19 outbreak.
