Cheteshwar Pujara, India’s bedrock in Test cricket, said his daughter Aditi has been having a great time with her parents. Back in February 2018, Pujara and his better-half Puja gave birth to the girl child after their marriage on February 13, 2013. The 32-year-old said that he has been trying his heart out to take care of his princess amidst the tough times due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
India is currently in a 21-day lockdown, announced by Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the quarantine period, Pujara and his family has been enjoying to the fullest. Pujara and his wife have been making sure that Aditi stays upbeat, mostly through indoor games and creative activities. Earlier, Pujara said that half of his time goes in looking after her daughter.
She is very young and energetic: Cheteshwar Pujara
“My daughter is quite young so if I keep the camera on her she is really happy. Most of the times Puja, my wife, is around but with both of her parents around, she is happiest at the moment. She also enjoys playing and I make sure that she is looked after well. We try and do creative stuff with her,” Pujara was quoted as saying in India Today.
“She is very young and energetic, she wants to play so we make sure to engage her in indoor games, sometimes she likes coloring and I try to help her with that. We have a small garden at our house and we play badminton with her – not proper badminton but she plays with a racquet and a shuttle,” he added.
Pujara has also spoken in favour of the 21-day lockdown after the rapid spread of the coronavirus. He reckons that the virus could have damaged India to a large extent, bearing in mind the country’s massive population. The Saurashtra cricketer urged the netizens to understand their own safety.
He feels that though it’s tough, one has to learn to look into the positives in the critical situation. Pujara has tried to lend his wife some much-needed support by cleaning activities. The coronavirus cases in India have nearly reached 3,000 with 68 people losing their lives.
