India and England are up against each other in the second T20 International of the five-match series at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium. The second T20I marks the debut of two Indian players Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan as India made two changes to their squad from the first T20I by replacing the opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan and spin all-rounder Axar Patel.
The announcement regarding the same was made by Indian skipper Virat Kohli at the time of the toss and he won the toss and invited Eoin Morgan led-England side to bat first. A noteworthy here is that both Suryakumar and Ishan play for franchise Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Former England captain Michael Vaughan, who represented England in 82 Test matches and 86 One Day Internationals, took a dig at the inclusion of the two batsmen in the team saying that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) finally took note of his previous tweet as they added more MI players in the Indian squad.
“I see @BCCI have taken the advice & got more @mipaltan players involved … Very smart move … #INDvsENG” Michael wrote on his Twitter handle.

Michael Vaughan takes a dig at the Indian side
India had registered a humiliating defeat against England in the first T20 International by 8 wickets at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium on March 12. After India’s defeat, Vaughan had taken to his official Twitter handle to take a jibe at the Indian side saying that Mumbai Indians, who have emerged victorious in the T20 Championship for as many as five times in 13-year history, have a more competent and better squad than the Indian side.
“The @mipaltan are a better T20 team than @BCCI!!! #JustSaying #INDvENG” Vaughan had tweeted.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar provides the first breakthrough to India
Put to bat first, England had a disastrous start to their innings as they lost their opening batsman Jos Buttler in the third ball of the first over of the delivery by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. This was followed by Dawid Malan and Jason Roy scripting a partnership of 63 runs.
However, Yuzvendra Chahal returned to attack in the ninth over to break the match-defining partnership by scalping the wicket of Malan, who was playing at 24 runs.
