The 1st semi-final of the 2019 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier between Bangladesh Women and Ireland Women will be hosted by the Forthill in Dundee.
The match starts at 10:00 AM local time (9:00 AM GMT) (2:30 PM IST).
This match will be live on T20 World Cup Facebook page and ICC YouTube Channel.
Bangladesh Women and Ireland Women will clash off in the 1st semi-final of the ICC Women’s T20 CWC Qualifier. The winner of this match will confirm their place in the T20 World Cup to be hosted by Australia next year. The losing side would remain as the unlucky team. The two sides have been part of all the WT20 editions which included ten teams but in 2020, only one of them will be seen there.
Bangladesh Women came this far by winning all three they played during the group stage. They would be hoping to make it 4 out 4 in this edition and achieve all the expectations over them. On the other hand, Ireland Women won their first two matches and confirmed their entry into the semi-final. However, they fell short by 2 runs against Thailand Women who finish as toppers of their group.
The morning match here in Dundee is unlikely to be affected by the rain. The weather forecast suggests a cloudy day without rain for Thursday. There could be showers later in the day but nothing is expected during the match timings of semi-final 1.
It seems as if no team is interested to chase down a total at Forthill in this tournament. With the continuation of the trend, no team will come forward to take a risk of the chase here especially in a match like this with a lot at the stake.
