India have emerged as the dominating side in the ongoing four-match Test series between India and England. England had a crackling start to the Test series as they scripted a massive victory by 227 runs in the first Test match at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. However, they failed to keep the momentum and India made a stunning comeback as they won the second game at the same venue by a whopping 317 runs.
This was followed by the hosts again outplaying the visitors by 10 wickets in the highly-anticipated pink-ball Test i.e third Test of the four-match series at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium to take a lead of 2-1. One of the major reasons behind India’s dominance in the Test series thus far has been the stunning show produced by the deadly spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel.
Both Ashwin and Axar have been at their fluent best throughout the series and have made it difficult for the visiting batsmen to survive on the pitch and keep the scoreboard ticking. Axar was also adjudged as the Man of the Match for scalping 11 wickets across two innings in the day-night Test and helping India win the game.
Seeing the misery of the England team against India’s robust spin-bowling, former Indian cricketer and batting coach of Punjab Kings (previously known as Kings XI Punjab) Wasim Jaffer, who is known for his wit and humour, gave a humorous valuable advice to the visitors on how to tackle the dangerous bowling duo.
Wasim Jaffer has an advice for England batsmen
Reposting the tweet of former cricketer Mark Nicholas where he gives his input on how should England play against Ravi Ashwin and Axar Patel, Jaffer reckoned that the only way for tackling the duo is by standing at the non-strikers end. However, he also made a subtle reference to Mankading by saying that it isn’t safe to stand at non-strikers end too when Ashwin is bowling.
“Ideally from the non strikers end. Although with Ashwin even that’s not safe. #INDvsENG,” Wasim Jaffer tweeted.

Axar continued his blistering form with the ball in the ongoing Test too as he ended up with four wickets in the first innings and helped in bundling out England for a paltry total of 205 runs.
