The 3rd game of the 5-match Unofficial ODI series between India A and South Africa A will be hosted by Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
The match starts at 9:00 AM local time (IST) (3:30 AM GMT).
The game will be live on Star Sports 1 and Star Sports 1 HD. Streaming available on Hotstar.
India A is just one win away from clinching the series against South Africa A. After having dominated in the first game, the hosts were tested in the second. In a 21-over per side game, South Africa A batted first. However, they couldn’t get a huge total on the board. Yet, their bowlers picked regular wickets and subjected the ‘Men in Blue’ to great pressure.
Had it not been Ishan Kishan’s special knock in the previous game, India A might have found themselves on the wrong side of the result. As they head into this game, they’ll look to seal things up before there is a captaincy change for the last two games. The Proteas, on the other hand, will want to get over the line this time and keep the series alive.
It has rained in the last two games of this series and these matches had to be cut short. There is rain prediction on Monday as well. Scattered thunderstorms are expected throughout the day. However, the chances of precipitation reduce as the day progresses.
The track at Thiruvananthapuram isn’t an easy one to bat on. You need at least a couple of set batsmen in order to get a big score. If the bowlers manage to hit the right areas, they’ll make life tough for batsmen.
