There is absolutely no denying that Ben Stokes is an out and out entertainer. The England superstar rarely fails to make an impact on the game. Such a rare occasion is being witnessed in the ongoing second Test between India and England at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. Stokes is yet to make any substantial contribution with either bat or ball in the match.
In India’s first innings, he bowled just two overs and conceded 16 runs without taking any wicket. With the bat, he failed to deliver too and scored just 18. In the ongoing second innings, he was yet to bowl at the time of writing this report. But while Stokes failed to perform with bat and ball, he did entertain the fans on day three of the game.
The all-rounder was seen performing the handstand on Monday, leaving the fans pleasantly surprised. The incident took place right after lunch when the players were walking out on the field. Right after walking up to the slip cordon, Stokes decided to do the stunt and received huge applause from the Chennai crowd.

India’s lead gets bigger:
While England and Ben Stokes are yet to do well in the second Test, India have performed really well and are firmly in the driver’s seat. Almost everything has fallen in place for the hosts so far as they look set to win the ongoing game and draw level in the four-match series. Virat Kohli won an important toss and his team fully capitalised on it by scoring 329 on the tough pitch.
Rohit Sharma led the charge with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 161 while Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh Pant scored fifties too. India then bowled out England for just 134 to take a massive 195-run lead. Ravichandran Ashwin made the difference with the ball in the second innings as he picked up 5 wickets for just 43 runs.
In the second innings, India were in a spot of bother after being reduced to 106 for 6 before Kohli and Ashwin shared a 96-run stand to steady the ship. At the time of writing this report, the hosts were on 221 for 8 with their overall lead extended to 416.
