Wasim Jaffer, the former Indian cricketer, has suggested India couple of changes in his cheeky manner ahead of the third ODI against England. The decider is set to be played on Sunday, March 28 and Jaffer reckons that Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar should find a place in the eleven. India lost the second game by six wickets as the Three Lions chased 337 down with 39 balls left.
Both Sundar and Chahal haven’t played in the ODI series thus far. Jaffer uploaded a picture to suggest the changes. The veteran also referred to Chahal’s chess-playing ability. Chahal had played chess at the international level before taking to cricket.

In the meantime, Jaffer took to Twitter and wrote, “Chess players can be seen in the late afternoon sun in Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, NY”.

India had their moments in the second ODI. KL Rahul’s ton coupled with fifties from Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant guided them to a formidable total. However, Jonny Bairstow, Jason Roy, and Ben Stokes came out all guns blazing to eliminate any chances of India’s victory.
Bairstow notched a century even as Stokes hammered his way to 99 before getting out to Bhuvneshwar Kumar. After the defeat, Kohli lauded the opposition batting, saying that they didn’t give India much to work with. He heaped praises on Bairstow and Stokes for their batting display.
“I think we set up quite a decent total. It was going to be challenging if we stayed in the game for long periods. We started off well with the new ball, with our lines and lengths but England found a way to hang on and got a century partnership,” Kohli was quoted as saying after the game.
“We did falter a bit at times but mostly, that was some of the best hitting that you’ll ever see. We never had a chance during their partnership (Stokes-Bairstow), that’s how good they were. Don’t think dew was much of a factor. Maybe the wicket settled a bit better but that’s no excuse. We just defended a score two days ago,” he added.
