Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali never ceases to court fresh controversies. The cricketer has been ruled out of the upcoming home Test series against Sri Lanka but he was seen walking the ramp at the Pakistan Fashion Week 2020. It was not too late for the video sparking a major controversy.
Ali’s last international match was against India at the ICC World Cup while his latest competitive engagement was in the Quad-e-Azam Trophy tournament in Lahore in September. Ali, 25, who was set to feature in the ninth round of the Quaid-e-Azam for Central Punjab against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, pulled out of the tournament after feeling pain in the left rib.
After undergoing a precautionary scan in Karachi, it was revealed that he had cortical rib fractures, including the ninth rib on the right ride and eighth and ninth ribs on the left side, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed. “The fractures will require up to six weeks to heal and he will start a rehabilitation process at the National Cricket Academy from Monday,” the PCB said in a press release.
Hasan Ali also missed the three-match T20I and two-match Test series against Australia. The cricketer, who married an Indian woman in Dubai in August, has represented Pakistan in 53 ODIs, 30 T20Is and nine Tests in which he has claimed 148 scalps. The supporters were though divided over the video which was shared on Twitter with one saying he was preaching negativity towards cricketers.

Hasan Ali was criticised for his act at Wagah border last year
In April last year, Hasan Ali was criticised after he made mocking gestures at the Indian security forces at the Attari-Wagah border during the flag-lowering ceremony. He was even blasted by a former Pakistan player over his Wagah act after coming up with a dismal performance against India during the two arch-rivals’ clash at the World Cup in Manchester in June.
The Test series between Pakistan and Lanka kicks off on December 11 when the two sides meet for the first game in Rawalpindi. The second Test will be held in Karachi from December 19.
