Mumbai Indians (MI), from the third position, managed to gain the top spot back in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Rohit Sharma didn’t play the game, but despite his absence, the team displayed their A-game against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Friday, October 23.
At the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, MI, captained by West Indies skipper Kieron Pollard, won by 10 wickets. After electing to bowl first, Mumbai got the Yellow Army on the mat right from the word go. In the powerplay, CSK lost five wickets and MI didn’t allow them to get a foothold back into the contest.
In their run-chase, Mumbai tracked the target down with as many as 46 balls to spare. For MS Dhoni and Co, they kept languishing at the bottom of the table and their campaign is all, but over in the T20 extravaganza.
Here are the MI Player Ratings for the CSK vs MI match:

Nathan Coulter-Nile didn’t disappoint with the ball in hand. The Australian seamer picked up Shardul Thakur’s wicket in the 15th over. In his four overs, the right-armer gave away 25 runs and bowled 14 dot balls to keep a check on the run-scoring.
