On Friday, April 30, Punjab Kings (PBKS) beat the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 34 runs in the 26th match of the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL). At the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, KL Rahul and Co came out trumps after posting 179 on the board after being put in to bat first.
It was also their third win on the trot over Virat Kohli’s men in the cash-rich tournament. In the meantime, after the win, PBKS posted a hilarious summary of the match. The franchise posted a picture where Sachin Baby was seen, clicking a picture of Chris Gayle and Yuzvendra Chahal, who both were posing shirtless.
The official Twitter handle of the IPL team captioned the picture and wrote, “If we have to summarize #PBKSvRCB,”

We were preparing Brar: PBKS skipper KL Rahul
One of the main architects behind Punjab’s win was a left-arm spinner, Harpreet Brar. In four overs, he bowled a double wicket-maiden and gave 19 runs at an economy rate of 4.80. As his three wickets, he dismissed Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers.
On the back of his decent show, he also got the Player of the Match award. On his performance, Rahul felt that the tweaker took advantage of the favourable conditions.
“We were preparing Brar. On a pitch like this, we felt like we needed a finger spinner who could hit hard lengths. He did exactly that and batted really well in the end as well. I am young myself, but I have been trying to speak to the boys and pass on whatever experience I have of IPL and international cricket,” Rahul said.
“They are blessed with enormous talent and we have to prepare them for the situations and the pressures they’d face in the middle as the captain and the support staff. Really makes me and the support staff very happy,” he added.
Harpreet was also over the moon on being able to pick Kohli’s wicket after being hit for a four in the first ball of the ninth over.
“I am sure the people back home would be proud and happy. I wasn’t overwhelmed when Kohli hit me because a bowler always gets a second chance to come back. My first IPL wicket was Kohli Paaji’s wicket and that was very special,” Brar said.
