The Indian Premier League (IPL) presents the fans with a lot of excitement. The T20 extravaganza has been taking place ever since 2008 and its fandom hasn’t gone down one bit. Mumbai Indians (MI) are the most successful, having gotten their hands on four titles. In fact, Rohit Sharma’s men are the defending champions as they defeated the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in last year’s final.
The auction for the 2020 edition of the tournament took place on December 19 and a number of players went under the hammer. Amidst their busy schedule, the franchises are having some fun. The teams recently took part in a #NewPassword trend on Twitter.
They shared pictures of resetting their password with witty messages along with them. It includes entering the password once and then re-confirming the same. In all their passwords, the teams mostly tried to show their strengths.
The Capitals went for Shreyas Iyer as their password, which also showed how good he is at the number four slot. Iyer took over from Gautam Gambhir as the Delhi team’s skipper. Then last season, he took his side the playoffs where they lost in the Qualifier 2.

The Sunrisers set David Warner’s name as their password. The Aussie has been a stalwart of their batting over quite a few seasons. The southpaw has also won a number of Orange Caps. The passwords also had the mention of the famous Hyderabadi Biriyani, a delicious delight.

The Royals put Ben Stokes’ name as their password. Stokes has been one of their gun players for the last couple of seasons. Not only has he churned put useful runs for them under pressure, but also picked up wickets at crucial junctures of an encounter.

The Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) picked KL Rahul as their skipper. The Karnataka batter has been named as the skipper after KXIP traded Ravi Ashwin to the Delhi Capitals (DC).

In the meantime, CSK had a witty message to the other IPL teams trend of changing passwords. The Men in Yellow said that they remember the existing password and hence, don’t need to change it.
