India continued to dominate New Zealand in the second T20I of the five-match series as they went 2-0 up. Rather a game eventually turned out to be an aberration as it was a low-scoring affair unlike the series opener where 204 was chased easily. And the most memorable and funny moment of the encounter came after the match ended when Martin Guptill hilariously used a Hindi cuss word for Yuzvendra Chahal.

After the customary handshakes took place, the Indian leg-spinner soon came out to have a word with Guptill who was already in conversation with Rohit Sharma. Chahal had a mic in his hand as he addressed the New Zealand opener in his usual style.

However, he got the most unexpected response from Martin Guptill who called him ‘G*ndu’ even as Rohit Sharma was left in splits. Chahal was stunned and had no option but to smile. However, the leggie didn’t stop there and addressed Guptill as ‘Gupta’ ji while the friendly conversation continued.

Shreyas Iyer and Rahul steer India to victory

Earlier in the match, New Zealand could only post 132 runs for the loss of five wickets after opting to bat first. None of their batsmen apart from Martin Guptill and Tim Seifert could cross the 30-run mark at a brisk rate courtesy some exceptional bowling from India. While Guptill scored 33 off 20 balls, Seifert remained unbeaten on the same score.

In response, it was expected to be a cakewalk for the visitors but the pitch slowed down even more. India lost two of their best batsmen in Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli early in the chase. However, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer stitched an amazing partnership and made sure there were no dramatic hiccups. The former scored another half-century while Iyer got out on 44 with only eight runs needed for the victory.

In the meantime, the video of the hilarious incident went viral on social media within minutes and the netizens were drooling over the same coming up with some funny memes.
