The 4th game of the 5-match T20I series between Malaysia and Vanuatu will be played at the Kinrara Academy Oval in Kuala Lumpur.
The match starts at 2:45 PM local time (12:15 PM IST) (6:45 AM GMT).
This game can be viewed on the YouTube channel of Malaysia Cricket.
Malaysia finally managed to get better of Vanuatu in the last couple of weeks as they defeated the visiting team by 26 runs on Wednesday in the 3rd T20I. The 2nd T20I was also played earlier on Wednesday as the game that was scheduled to be played on Tuesday got abandoned and reserve day was used. Vanuatu went 2-0 up as they won that match by a 51-run margin.
Patrick Matautaava scored 52-ball 103 with 9 fours and 7 sixes as Vanuatu finished with 188/6 in their 20 overs. Malaysia were never comfortable in the chase and ended up with only 137/7. Later in the evening game, Malaysia posted 134/8, three less than their score in the 2nd T20I. However, their bowlers delivered and bundled out Vanuatu to just 108.
We might have another troubling day at the Kinrara Oval due to the weather. There are good chances of rain during the match timings and it could be replayed or restarted on reserve day.
With both 2nd and 3rd T20Is played on the same day, the track became slower. The match played in the evening turned out to be a tough one for the chasing team. We could have a better track for the game on Thursday and a target up to 140 can be chased.
Average first innings score: 150 (T20I matches)
Record of chasing teams: Won – 5, Lost – 5
(Will be added when there is an update)

Nalin Nipiko is quite consistent in the T20I format as he scored two 40+ scores on Wednesday and took four wickets across the two matches. Patrick Matautaava scored a brilliant ton in the morning game and will be hoping to replicate the same success with the bat. The consistency of Sharvin Muniandy and Syed Aziz with the bat will script Malaysia’s success. Joshua Rasu couldn’t score big runs in the two games after his 54-ball 74 in the first match. Skipper Andrew Mansale bagged two ducks in two games but took four wickets.
Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:
Captain – Nalin Nipiko, Joshua Rasu, Virandeep Singh, Patrick Matautaava.
Vice-Captain – Andrew Mansale, Nazril Rahman, Syed Aziz, Anwar Rahman.
The all-round performances of Nalin Nipiko make him a dependable choice as a multiplier.
Suggested Playing XI No.1 for Fantasy Cricket:

All-Rounders – Patrick Matautaava, Nalin Nipiko (C)

With rain expected in the afternoon, we won’t have toss update before the deadline as there are chances of it going into the reserve day. Both sides didn’t make major changes to their playing XIs from previous matches and can be considered. At least 10 players from each side featured in the 3rd T20I will play on Thursday.
Malaysia is expected to level the T20I series with 2nd straight win.
