Mandeep Singh supported Farmers Protest
Mandeep Singh had recently hogged all the limelight by becoming the first active cricketer to support the ongoing Farmer’s Protest. He and his elder brother Harvinder Singh had visited the Singhu Border in December 2020 and expressed their solidarity with the farmers. He was sad to see their condition as well and saluted their spirit. The batsman also hoped that the issue is resolved as soon as possible.
“I went there to show my support to all the senior citizens, who are peacefully protesting in this biting cold. It is heart-breaking to see the conditions in which they are living. Tractors have become their new home, but they are not complaining. They are so happy and cheerful. I salute their spirit.
“It was a humbling experience for me. The whole country runs on the work done by farmers, and the issue needs to be resolved as soon as possible,” the 28-year-old had said.
