Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, the Bangladesh all-rounder, has decided to lend his helping hand to 200 low-income families in his country. The 24-year-old youngster decided to take the initiative at a time when the entire world has been hit by the coronavirus pandemic. Most parts of the world have been in a lockdown and it’s not any different for the Asian country as well.
Recently, he was seen, distributing food items and clothes to the economically poor people in the society of his birthplace, Mymensingh. Speaking on the matter, Saikat said that he’s trying his best to help out the poor and he also urged the others to come forward in the hour of need.
“Be well everyone and hope to get rid of this epidemic. I’m trying to my level best and urge everyone to help the poor people as per your ability,” Mosaddek was quoted as saying in The Independent.

Mosaddek also penned down a strong message on his official Facebook page. There he highlighted the abject state of the country and also felt good about standing by the side of the needy in the critical situation.
“The entire world has been plagued by the Covid-19. No one has ever observed such crisis to our beloved homeland over the years. About 6 crore people in poor country who are helpless and poor, have been going through this troubled situation,” his post read.
It’s our responsibility to stand beside them by this time. I feel very fortunate for being able to stand beside the needy people of Mymensingh. Let’s do it who are capable. Do something for our society,” his post further read.
Previously, 27 Bangladesh cricketers gave half of their cricket team’s salary for the ones affected in the COVID-19 pandemic. Saikat was also one of them. Around 26 lakh have been collected for the noble cause after deducting the Value Added Tax (VAT).
Mashrafe Mortaza, the former Tigers’ skipper, has also taken care of quite a few families at his hometown Narail and Lohagara upazila. Even Shakib Al Hasan, who’s in the US in self-isolation, has pledged to help the needy through his foundation.
