After CSK’s woeful run in IPL 2020, MS Dhoni has returned to India. Just like other players, he was away from home since the last week of August after he landed in Chennai. The CSK players were involved in a week-long preparatory camp before their arrival in UAE, and MS Dhoni also took part in the camp. Few franchises allowed the family members in the IPL bio-secure bubble in UAE, but CSK was against the same.
The problems began for the three-time champions since the first day itself. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Deepak Chahar tested COVID-19 positive, and then Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh pulled out of the league due to personal reasons. The rough patch began for Chennai from there only, and then they had the terrible season on the field. It was for the first time that the yellow army of MS Dhoni failed to qualify for the playoffs in the history of IPL.
However, their beloved skipper has returned to India and has hit the gym. He is too particular about his fitness and physique, which has been witnessed by fans for all these years. He is back at the gym with his friends, and it was seen in the latest pictures on social media. Skipper would be trying his level best to turn tables for CSK in the next edition, which would be just six months way, given the COVID-19 situation improves in India.

CSK’s journey in IPL 2020
Talking about CKS’s journey this year, they lacked intent, spark, and spirit to dominate the games on the field. The squad didn’t look its usual self as it failed to perform in all the facets of the game. Even MS Dhoni couldn’t set the stage on fire with the bat as fans waited desperately for some big hits and helicopter shots. They will have to turn up the next year with better execution and planning if they wish to regain dominance.
However, Dhoni’s assurance of showing up next year with CSK has already made fans happy. His “Definitely not” has gone long way in terms of making CSK fans delighted.
