Rahul Dravid might not be associated with the ongoing Indian Premier League at present but his name started trending all over the social media on Friday (April 9) thanks to his acting in a new television commercial. The advertisement showed a never-seen side of the batting legend’s personality as he is seen losing his cool in it.
During his playing career, Dravid rarely let his emotions get the better of him. No matter what the situation was, the former India skipper made sure to keep his anger in check. Not only with his extraordinary exploits with the bat, but Dravid also made a name for himself with his exemplary attitude. And thus his new avatar for the advertisement has taken the world by surprise.
Even the likes of Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin were taken aback by Dravid’s acting in the advertisement. The batting legend featured in an ad for CRED, a Bangalore-based credit card bill payment platform. In the commercial, Dravid can be seen shouting at others from his car angrily. In one of the scenes, he is also seen saying “Indiranagar ka gunda hun main”.
The ad began with actor Jim Sarbh saying, “When you pay your Credit Cards bills on CRED, you earn CRED coins. Use them to claim cashback and rewards. I know this sounds ridiculous. It is like saying Rahul Dravid has anger issues.” Following that, Dravid took the centre stage and has left the entire world surprised by hilariously losing his cool and shouting at others.
