India extended their lead in the 5-match T20I series to 4-0 against New Zealand as they won the second straight match in the Super Over. India were six down for 88 by 12th over before Manish Pandey’s unbeaten 50 helped India to finish on 165/8 in their 20 overs.
India were economical in their first five overs of the chase before Colin Munro (64 off 47) and Tim Seifert (57 off 39) shared a 74-run stand for the 2nd wicket in only 7.2 overs. The equation came down to 11 runs needed from the last two overs where Navdeep Saini and Shardul Thakur conceded 4 and 6 runs respectively to tie the game. The home team scored 13 runs in the Super Over which India chased down with a ball to spare.
