West Indies and New Zealand are currently locking horns with each other for the three-match T20I series. It will be followed by the Test series and the host side is putting up a completely dominant show in the matches. After winning the second T20I by big 72 runs, New Zealand have already bagged the series 2-0. During the second match, while NZ were batting, Sheldon Cottrell placed a delivery, which directly deflected towards the third man.
It felt like the ball just slipped out of Cottrell’s hand and flew towards the third man. The incident happened during the 11.5 over when Cottrell faced Glenn Phillips. On the other hand, Glenn Phillips was absolutely stunning in the game while he smashed a terrific century (108 off 51) to push the team’s score towards a big zone. It was on the back of Phillips batting along with the efforts of Devon Conway (65 off 37) that New Zealand was able to post 238 runs on the board.

New Zealand are walking 2-0 in T20I series
Talking about Cottrell’s performance in the 2nd match, he had to remain wicketless and maintained the economy of 9.75. Oshane Thomas, Fabian Allen, and Kieron Pollard got one wicket each under their belt. When the West Indies came to bat, they displayed a lack of intent to chase of such a big score. They started losing wickets in no time, and 238 runs seemed like a dream. Kieron Pollard’s 28 off 15 was the highest individual score from the Indies team.
Kyle Jamieson was absolutely stunning with his bowling display as he bagged two wickets under his belt by conceding just 15 runs in his quota of four overs. Mitchell Santer also named two-wickets on his name while Tim Southee, James Neesham, and Ish Sodhi had one each on their name. Phillips was named as the player of the match, undoubtedly.
The first match also had New Zealand’s back as they thrash West Indies by five wickets. They won the game by D/L method. Lockie Ferguson was named as the player of the match as he bagged a fifer while conceding just 21 runs.
