The banter between Wasim Jaffer and Michael Vaughan just never stops. The former England skipper has been renowned for voicing his opinions without caring about the public opinion, whereas Jaffer, who is known for his wittily humorous social media presence, would not let his counterpart sit in peace, taking one jibe after another on nearly everything he says.

In one of the uncountable incidents when the two took a go at each other, an outspoken Vaughan confessed in interaction with CricTracker that one cricketer he would block on his social media platforms is Wasim Jaffer.

“Wasim Jaffer. To be honest, I wouldn’t block anyone. I block people who abuse me, trying to have a go at me, or someone, whose handle isn’t real,” Vaughan said. Even as he admitted after a moment of contemplation that he would not block anyone, the instinctive initial response was enough to tickle Jaffer, who took a hilarious jibe at the former cricketer, to be hit back from him again.

“Me and my friends after knowing @MichaelVaughan wants to block me”, Jaffer retweeted a CricTracker post with an image of the Indian cricketers celebrating a victory. The banter did not stop here as Vaughan pulled Jaffer’s leg, reminding him of the incident when he claimed his wicket.

“I would never do that Wasim … No player that got out to my filthy off spin will ever be blocked …” he wrote. Notably, Vaughan had dismissed Jaffer for 53 at Lord’s in 2002 during India’s tour for two Tests in the UK. This was not the first time when the former England skipper used the Lord’s incident to tease Jaffer.

In another Twitter interaction from earlier this year, Vaughan had written, “Have you still not recovered from me getting you out at Lords !??”, in response to a tweet from Jaffer that read, “Not all teams are lucky enough to play four overseas players Michael.” The interaction had started when Vaughan stated that the Mumbai Indians is a better T20 team than the Indian team. Later Jaffer brought the conversation to an end by saying, “That’s just Life’s Amazing Memories Eh, Michael.”
