Coronavirus outbreak has kept the players away from the game and they have become pro-active on social media platforms. Moreover, the international players are busy in conducting live sessions on Instagram in order to share their experience with the fans.
The former Pakistan cricketer Inzamam Ul Haq and Ramiz Raja also joined the bandwagon, who were spotted discussing some relevant topics related to cricket during their lively interaction on former skipper’s YouTube channel. Surprisingly, while talking, the 50-year-old made some scathing remarks on Indian players when he was playing international cricket.
Inzamam-ul-Haq takes a dig at Team India
It is known that India and Pakistan are not on good terms when it comes to cricket. In the past, on numerous occasions, the Men in Green players were spotted making claims against Indian cricketers and BCCI. Now, Inzamam-ul-Haq has come out and said that the batting line up of Team India was far too strong in comparison to Pakistan.
But according to him, the players used to play for themselves and not for the team. Inzamam claimed that the Pakistan batsmen used to score 30 or 40 runs that used to be for the team and the Indian players used to concentrate and score runs for themselves.
“When we played against India, their batting was more powerful than us on paper. But even our batsmen scored 30 or 40 runs, it was for the team, but for India, even if they scored 100 runs, they played for themselves. So, that was the difference between the two sides,” Inzamam said during the chat with Ramiz.
The 50-year-old also heaped praises on Imran Khan, the former World Cup-winning captain. Inzamam-ul-Haq said that his former skipper knew how to bring the best out of an individual. According to the 50-year-old, Imran Khan used to give several chances to a player to prove his worth in the side. This was the main reason due to which the players used to give him a lot of respect.
“Imran (bhai) was not a very technical captain, but he knew how to get the most out of his players. He backed the young players, he backed the players he believed in and this made him a great captain,” he added.
