After losing three back-to-back matches, Haryana Steelers finally won a match in the seventh season of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). They beat Patna Pirates by 35-26 points on Wednesday. Raider Vikash Kandola played superbly for the Steelers. He scored 10 points in the match. Another match of the day, played between UP Yoddha and Tamil Thalaivas ended in a tie. Both the teams scored 28 points.
Steelers got off to a solid start as they were leading by eight points in the first 10 minutes of the match. Steelers defenders kept the opponent raiders at bay. They did not give captain Pardeep Narwal any room to manoeuvre. Steelers dominated the first half of the game with score line read 17-9. Steelers continued their good show in the second half as well. They were leading by 10 points. Steelers will next play against Bengaluru Bulls in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
